Come volunteer for AmeriCorps Week 2011: Operation Orleans. We will be serving at Uncle Harvey's Pond in Orleans Monday, May 9th through Thursday, May 12th from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. On Friday, volunteer hours are from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, with a celebratory barbecue from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm with Breakaway Grill.
Volunteers will plant native bushes and shrubs, clear out overgrown invasive species, build and install benches, and learn about the importance of maintaining conservation land for all to enjoy.
Work gloves, tools, drinks, snacks and free t-shirts will be provided for all participants.
