CCCC Theatre Announces Auditions for “Othello,” by William Shakespeare
The Department of Arts and Communication at Cape Cod Community College has announced open auditions for their Fall production of “Othello” by William Shakespeare and directed by Vana Trudeau.
All members of the community are invited to audition for this classic tale of love, jealousy, revenge and good vs. evil. In particular, we are seeking an actor of Arab-American and/or African-American heritage for the role of Othello. Other roles are available for men and women ages 18-60+.
Rehearsals will begin in September with performances in November.
We do ask that actors bring a prepared monologue no more than three minutes in length and be prepared to read from the “Othello” script.
Auditions will be held in the Studio Theatre of the Tilden Arts Center, CCCC
Friday May 6th from 5-8 pm
Saturday May 7th from 12-3 pm
