BVCA 5th Annual Touch-a-Truck Event

Barnstable Village Summer Stroll? Well, not officially , but we are hoping to bring lots of people to visit our beautiful village on June 25th. In addition to the annual Cape Cod Art Association's "Art in the Village" (as well as June 26th), The Barnstable Village Civic Association Holiday Stroll Committee is planning the 5th annual “Touch a Truck" fundraising event, at County Courthouse parking lot from 10 am-1 pm. Last year's event was a great success, with many different public and private organizations providing display vehicles. We’re still not sure who had the most fun: parents, grandparents, children, vehicle drivers, or our volunteers.  Kids young and old can feel, explore, honk and climb on the many trucks on display. "Trucks" they all carry something, like people.  Examples include: construction vehicles - backhoe, dump truck; garbage truck; school bus; 18-wheeler;  Limo;  motorcycles; cherry pickers; etc.    Concessions and lots of kid friendly activities including face painting, storytime; etc. too!!

Cape Cod Art Association will be hosting their 9th annual “Art in the Village” event featuring a raffle, live art demonstrations, and children activities throughout the village. Artists will be displaying and selling their original work in various mediums including oil, acrylic, watercolor, photography, pottery, textiles and more, in over 50 tents throughout the village. Saturday events will take place from 10AM to 7PM and Sunday, 10AM to 4PM.
