Volunteer Open House Celebrating National Train Day

Saturday, May 7^th 2011 - 9:00am – 2:00pm

The Cape Cod Chapter, NRHS is hosting an Open House at the West Barnstable Train Station and Museum.    This event will enable potential volunteers to get inside look at the many different ways they can participate in museum activities and fun yearly events.   Families and ALL ages welcome!

Meet the Cape Cod Chapter NRHS members, our Station Master and Officers and Directors, tour the depot, climb inside the cab of a locomotive on display trackside, see the museum’s historical train exhibits and artifacts, learn safety around the tracks with Operation Lifesaver and the history of the Cape Cod rails.  A 50/50 Fundraiser Raffle will be held.

We are also looking for people to become new members.   And YOU can help make good things happen in our community by volunteering a little of your time.   Volunteers are always needed and it is a very rewarding experience.  Please share your talent with us - you’ll enjoy it!   Join the Chapter and become a Member!    Free event, free parking.  Handicap accessible.  Donations accepted
