The Lower Cape Outreach Council is pleased to announce it will be holding a community event, “Come Together” – a Fun Fair and Raffle, at Saint Aubin Nurseries & Ponderosa Landscaping in Eastham on Saturday, May 14th from Noon to 4:00 p.m. Dunes 102 will be broadcasting live at the event and radio personalities, Ron Robin and Suzanne Tonaire, will be announcing raffle winners throughout the afternoon. There will be live entertainment provided by local bands. Courtesy of Cape Cod Beer Company, a beer tasting will be available to patrons over 21.
Event sponsors Saint Aubin Nurseries & Ponderosa Landscaping have generously donated the grand prizes for the raffle drawing which include: a garden design from Ponderosa Landscaping (up to $300 value) and two trees from Saint Aubin Nurseries (up to $250 value, each). Currently, over 35 raffle items valued at over $3,800 have already been donated through the generosity of local merchants with more donations being received by the day. A book of 6 tickets costs $10 – all proceeds benefit the Lower Cape Outreach Council. Tickets will be available for purchase at the event and are being sold in advance at the Lower Cape Outreach Council’s office in Orleans and at Saint Aubin Nurseries in Eastham. Buy your tickets early because Dunes 102 will begin announcing one raffle winner each Saturday on their morning show beginning April 9th through the event.
The community is being asked to “Come Together” to a fun event to help raise funds for the Council so they can continue helping neighbors in need across the lower Cape – come be a part of neighbors helping neighbors at this special event.

About Lower Cape Outreach Council: Founded in 1980, The Lower Cape Outreach Council is a 501( c )(3)non-profit organization and provides emergency assistance of food, clothing and financial support to individuals and families on the lower Cape, spanning from Harwich to Provincetown. The Council operates 8 food pantries across the region, Katey’s Corner, a free clothing store in Orleans, and The Hope Chest, a consignment shop, also in Orleans, whose proceeds benefits the Council.
In 2010, the organization raised over $1 million worth of emergency food, clothing and financial assistance to help Cape Codders survive the worst economy since the Great Depression. Mission: To provide emergency assistance of food, clothing and financial support to individuals and families in Brewster, Chatham, Eastham, Harwich, Orleans, Provincetown, Truro and Wellfleet which will lead to healthy, productive, self-sustaining lives as part of the Cape Cod community.
