FEMA Awards Barnstable Fire $3,700 Grant For PPE

The grant was part of FEMA's program which gave out $4.6 million to 85 fire departments nationwide to help prevent the coronavirus.

BARNSTABLE, MA — The Federal Emergency Management Agency awarded the West Barnstable Fire District a $3,757 grant.

The grant was part of FEMA's "Assistance to Firefighters" program, which gave out $4.6 million to 85 fire departments nationwide. The money can be used for personal protective equipement and other safety equipment needed amid the coronavirus pandemic,

On Cape Cod, the West Dennis Fire Department also received a grant for $123,676. Thirteen Massachusetts cities and towns received a$426,470.
