The fire spread to all three floors of a home on Short Beach Road in Centerville.

BARNSTABLE, MA — A member of the Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills Fire Department was injured while extinguishing a house fire in Centerville on Monday night.

Fire officials said they were called to a house on Short Beach Road around 8:50 p.m. Firefighters found the three-story, wood-framed home with fire coming out the back of the third floor. The home was unoccupied, fire officials said.

Fire officials said crews made their way inside to extinguish the flames and found fire on every floor. Officials then issued a second alarm to bring in help from nearby fire departments, including Hyannis, Barnstable, Cotuit, West Barnstable, Mashpee, Yarmouth and Sandwich.
