Great White Shark Comes Within 150 Yards Of Cape Cod Shore
Shark sightings have been common at Nauset Beach this month.
Another great white shark was seen close to the Cape Cod shore Friday morning, according to the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy.
The shark was spotted by a pilot just 150 yards north of Nauset Public Beach, the conservancy's Sharktivity app said.
The app did not say whether the beach was closed to swimming — though Cape Cod beaches are typically closed for at least an hour following a shark sighting. The conservancy said people shouldn't use their app to determine if it's safe to swim, and the only way to avoid sharks is to stay on shore.
