Gunshots Lead To Crack-Cocaine, Gun Arrests In Hyannis: Police
Barnstable police said they seized two handguns, four large capacity magazines, 22 grams of crack-cocaine and a large sum of cash.
HYANNIS, MA — A man and a woman were arrested in Hyannis Tuesday after police said they heard gunshots and found the two people with guns and 22 grams of crack-cocaine.
Barnstable police said they received a report of gunshots around 9:21 p.m., in the 400th block of Pitchers Way.
Officers found the home where the gunshots came from and executed a search warrant. Police said they seized two handguns, four large capacity magazines, 22 grams of crack-cocaine and a large sum of cash.

Police said the two people arrested were Monte Curry, 40, of Hyannis, and Teisa Lopez, 39, of Hyannis.
Curry was charged with assault by means of a dangerous weapon, intimidating a witness, disorderly conduct, four counts of possession of a large capacity feeding device, two counts of possession of a large capacity firearm, trafficking in cocaine 18 grams or more/less than 36 grams and resisting arrest.

Lopez was charged with assault and battery on a police officer, attempt to disarm a police officer, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, providing false identification to a police officer, intimidation of a witness and trafficking in cocaine 18 grams or more/less than 36 grams.
Curry and Lopez were arraigned at Barnstable District Court on Wednesday. Lopez was held on $5,000 cash bail. Curry is being held pending a dangerousness hearing scheduled for Monday.
