House Catches Fire In Marstons Mills
A passerby called 911 after seeing flames come out the ranch's roof, fire officials said.
BARNSTABLE, MA — Firefighters extinguished a fire at a ranch in Marstons Mills Sunday night.
Fire officials said the fire started around 8 p.m. in the 100th block of Lakeside Drive. A woman noticed the fire when passing by and called 911, fire officials said. Fire officials said the woman tried to alert any occupants and saw the flames spread to the roof.
Firefighters arrived about five minutes later and attacked the flames with a 2-and-half-inch hose line. Once the fire was controlled outside, crews went inside and fully extinguished the flames.

It was no immediately made clear if any residents were in the home or suffered injuries. The cause of the fire also remains under investigation.
