"An aggressive interior attack by Eastham, Orleans and Harwich crews limited the damage to the structure," Keane said in a statement. "The fire had gone unnoticed for a while, however the home was protected by an automatic alarm system, which sent the alarm signal and saved the majority of the building."

Keane said it took firefighters about four hours to extinguish the flames. No injuries were reported.
