Hyannis Firefighters Called For Smoky Plane Engine At Airport

HYANNIS, MA — Firefighters were called to Barnstable Municipal Airport after smoke was seen billowing from the engine of a small plane.

Fire officials were called to the runway and determined the engine was malfunctioning. The plane never caught fire, according to fire officials.

The pilot was the only person aboard the plane and was able to escape safely. The plane was towed to a hangar for repairs.
