Hyannis Shooting Suspect Arrested In Louisville: Barnstable Police

Kyle Mugford was arrested on charges stemming from a Dec. 28 robbery and shooting in Hyannis.

BARNSTABLE, MA — A Hyannis man was taken into custody in Louisville, Kentucky, on Monday on warrants related to the Dec. 28 shooting in Hyannis, Barnstable police announced.

Kyle Mugford, 27, is one of two suspects named in the case. The other is 21-year-old Damein Gonsalves, also of Hyannis.

At approximately 6:35 p.m. on Dec. 28, Barnstable Police officers responded to Crocker Street in Hyannis for a reported robbery and shooting. Upon arrival one of the victims had visible gunshot wounds to both of his arms, police said.

The 19-year-old victim was transported to Cape Cod Hospital where he underwent surgery for his injuries and was later transported to a Boston area trauma center.
