ICE Arrests Man On Cape Cod
The 41-year-old, who has a previous drug conviction, was one of 58 people arrested in a recent ICE sweep.

HYANNIS, MA – A 41-year-old man was arrested in Hyannis during a recent Immigration and Customs Enforcement sweep in New England, according to a press release from the agency. The Jamaican national, who was not named, has a previous conviction for possession of 28-100 grams of cocaine, ICE said.
The man was one of 58 people arrested during the operation, which took place over a five-day period. According to ICE, of the 58 people arrested:
- 30 had prior felony convictions for serious or violent offenses
- 33 have criminal charges pending
- 15 individuals were previously released from local law enforcement custody, correctional facilities and/or court custody with an active detainer
- 9 were referred for criminal prosecution to the appropriate U.S. Attorney’s Office in the jurisdiction; one is being referred to the U.S. Marshals for failure to register as a sex offender as required by federal law
- 9 of those arrested had been previously removed from the United States and returned illegally; and
- 4 had active Interpol Red Notices
Todd Lyons, acting Boston field office director, said in a statement that despite "unjustified criticism," ICE officers work to "enforce immigration law and protect our communities from criminal aliens."
