Keith Lockhart to Conduct The 27th Annual TD Bank Pops by the Sea

The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod presents the 27th Annual TD Bank Pops by the Sea concert on August 12, 2012, from 5 pm to 7 pm 

The Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra with Conductor Keith Lockhart on the Hyannis Village Green, featuring the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, with conductor Keith Lockhart. Kevin Howard, Executive Director of the AFCC is "personally delighted to welcome Maestro Lockhart back to the Pops by the Sea stage, his first appearance since 2010. He brings with him great energy and warmth and has been a big part of some of Pops greatest moments."

Proceeds from the August 12 concert enable the Arts Foundation to fulfill its mission to support, promote, and celebrate the arts and culture of Cape Cod year-round. The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod, Barnstable County's regional arts agency, provides artistic, cultural, and educational programs in every town on Cape Cod, with an emphasis on supporting arts education initiatives, individual artists, and cultural organizations throughout the year.

Conductor Keith Lockhart is celebrating his eighteenth anniversary season as Conductor of the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, where he has added his artistic vision to the Pops tradition. He introduced the innovative JazzFest and EdgeFest series and has conducted the Pops in more than 1,400 concerts as well as numerous tours, television shows, and the annual Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular, broadcast nationally and watched by 10 million viewers each July 4th. He was music director of the Utah Symphony from 1998-2009, and also continues to serve as Artistic Director of the Brevard Music Center Summer Institute and Festival. During the 2010-2011 season, Maestro Lockhart led the BBC Concert Orchestra during its 15-city tour across America and made his Atlanta Opera debut. 

General Admission Lawn tickets to the TD Bank Pops by the Sea concert  are $15 for adults, $20 on the day of the show (if available) and may be purchased online atwww.artsfoundation.org. Advance ticket sales are strongly encouraged, as this event has consistently sold out in the past.  Lawn tickets for children ages 6-12 are $5, and one child under the age of five is admitted free with each paid adult General Admission Lawn Ticket.
