Man That Barnstable Police Caught With Child Porn Pleads Guilty
Barnstable police said they found Louis Ackerman had more than 600 videos and images of child pornography on his laptop.
DUXBURY, MA — A Duxbury man pleaded guilty in federal court to possessing child pornography. Louis Ackerman Jr., 45, was arrested after he was caught with hundreds of videos and pictures of child pornography, according to a joint investigation between Barnstable police and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.
According to court documents, police arrested Ackerman in November 2019 after searching his home and finding more than 600 videos and images of child pornography on his laptop. Police said they also found several printed computer pages depicting child pornography under his bed.
Ackerman faces up to 20 years in prison with a minimum five-year sentence, a lifetime of supervised release and a fine of up to $250,000. His sentencing was scheduled for Sept. 21.
