Man Gets Jail In Barnstable Child Porn Case
Louis Ackerman was sentenced to six-and-a-half years in prison after Barnstable police caught him with hundreds of child pornography videos.
BARNSTABLE, MA — A Duxbury man was sentenced to prison after pleading guilty in federal court to possessing child pornography.
Louis Ackerman Jr., 45, was sentenced to six-and-a-half years in prison with five years of parole after Barnstable police caught him with hundreds of videos and pictures of child pornography, federal prosecutors said.
Ackerman was arrested in November 2019 after police executed a search warrant following a joint investigation between Barnstable police and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.

According to court documents, police searched Ackerman's home and found more than 600 videos and images of child pornography on his laptop.
Police said they also found several printed computer pages depicting child pornography under his bed. Prosecutors said some of those pictures were of boys under 12.
