Man Sentenced For Role In Cape Cod Fentanyl, Cocaine Ring
According to court documents, Kevin Chalas helped run a drug stash house for fentanyl and cocaine to be moved from Boston to Cape Cod.
BARNSTABLE, MA — A Dominican national who previously resided in Dorchester was sentenced Monday after federal prosecutors said he helped run a large scale drug ring throughout Cape Cod and Boston.
Kevin Chalas, 43, was sentenced to 3 years, five months in prison and three years of supervised release after pleading guilty to conspiracy to distribute cocaine and fentanyl.
Prosecutors said Chalas and his co-conspirators, James Ramirez and Alex and Kevin Fraga, were arrested in August 2017. According to court documents, Chalas helped run a drug stash house in Boston for Ramirez, who moved large quantities of cocaine, fentanyl and heroin to sell on Cape Cod.

In June 2019, Alex Fraga was sentenced to 1o years, 11 months in prison and five years of supervised release. Kevin Fraga was sentenced to 3 years, nine months in prison and five years of supervised release. Ramirez was sentenced to six years, six months in prison and five years of supervised release.
