32-Year-Old Man Shot In Hyannis
Police issued a shelter in place between Bearse's Way and Barnstable Road, while they secured the scene, but it was lifted shortly after.
BARNSTABLE, MA — A man was shot in a Hyannis neighborhood Wednesday evening, according to police.
Police said shooting happened in the Quaker Road area around 6:21 p.m. The 32-year-old victim left the scene before officers arrived, police said.
Officers found him at Cape Cod Hospital. Police said his injuries were not life-threatening.

Police issued a shelter in place between Bearse's Way and Barnstable Road, while they secured the scene, but it was lifted shortly after. Police said the shooting appeared to be an isolated incident.
"The Barnstable Police Department would like to thank the community for their patience and cooperation during the shelter in place order," police said in a statement. "This incident remains under investigation by the Barnstable Police Eve Shift and Detective Unit."
