New Gatsby Themed Gala to Benefit the Fight Against Cancer
Evening event at Ocean Edge to support American Cancer Society's lifesaving mission

The American Cancer Society this summer will unveil a new, distinctive event, the Cape Cod Under the Tent Great Gatsby Gala. This elegant evening affair will support the Society’s life-saving mission. This inaugural event is set for Thursday, Aug. 19, 2021, at 7 p.m., on the grounds of Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club, located at 2907 Main St., Brewster, Mass. “We are is in every community, fighting every type of cancer,” said Louise Santosuosso, vice president, New England, American Cancer Society. “While the American Cancer Society is a nationwide health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem, it is also community-based and volunteer-driven. We’re thrilled the Cape Cod Under the Tent Great Gatsby Gala will provide local residents and businesses with the opportunity to support the Society’s programs, services and resources which benefit those affected by cancer on Cape Cod. Simply put, Cape Codders will be able to directly support their neighbors.”
Lead by Chairperson Jack Duffy, the Cape Cod-based committee of volunteers organizing the Gala includes Jeff Berg, Carol Colecchi, Ingrid Corbellini, Michael Curran, Susan Murphy, Jim Muse, Roberta Muse, Debra Paget, Brian Urban, Laura Urban and Heidi VanAmburgh.
