Cape Cod's BMX competitiors worked out on the new track as a preview of the upcoming New England Nationals event.
Hundreds of BMX competitors will travel to Cape Cod’s very own, newly re-designed 1,100 sq. ft. bicycle motocross track on the Massachusetts Military Reservation for the American Bicycle Association’s 2011 New England Nationals over the weekend of June 24-26.
Yesterday, some of the competing riders worked out on the new track as a preview of the upcoming event, which will offer top riders the opportunity to win awards and points towards national and regional ranking.
BMX, or Bicycle Motocross, as it is also called, was added in 2008 as a Summer Olympics event in Beijing, China. It will also be a featured sport in London 2012.
