Registration Open for Annual Walk for Hope

Registration is now open for the eighth Annual Walk for Hope, inviting individuals, families, and teams across Cape Cod to come together in support of safe, stable housing for all. The three-mile walks will take place on Sunday, May 31, with participants gathering at 12 p.m. in Falmouth, Hyannis, and Orleans.

Each step taken and every dollar raised directly supports Housing Assistance’s mission to create and preserve pathways to stable, attainable year-round housing that empowers individuals and families to stay rooted and thrive in our community.

“There are moments when the scale of homelessness on Cape Cod can feel overwhelming. Right now, an estimated 550 adults and children in our community are experiencing it,” said Housing Assistance CEO Alisa Magnotta. “If we each walk for just one person, our collective impact becomes an act of community. Every dollar raised through the Walk for Hope ensures we can be there for them.”

This year’s walk features three great locations: Peg Noonan Park in Falmouth, Veterans Memorial Park in Hyannis, and Hog Island Beer in Orleans, offering participants even more ways to connect, celebrate, and support the cause.
Building on last year’s success with 387 walkers, 44 teams, and more than $132,000 raised, organizers are aiming even higher in 2026 and encouraging the community to get involved.

Registration is $25, which serves as a donation to support Housing Assistance’s vital work. Participants are also encouraged to raise additional funds to further strengthen programs ranging from homelessness prevention to housing counseling and beyond.

Can’t attend? Community members are encouraged to make a difference with a donation to the Walk for Hope, ensuring that individuals and families across Cape Cod have access to safe, stable housing when they need it most.

In addition to walkers, Housing Assistance is seeking sponsors to help expand the reach and impact of the event.
