Ronald Beaty Advocates for “Taxpayer Protection Pledge”
Barnstable County Commissioner Candidate Ron Beaty Asks Others to Sign Taxpayer Protection Pledge Like He Did.

I am writing for reasons that are twofold.
First, as a Republican Candidate for County Commissioner on Cape Cod, I wish to inform the public that I have signed the "Taxpayer Protection Pledge" sponsored by Americans for Tax Reform located in Washington, DC.
The Pledge, which was officially notarized and witnessed, states that if elected, I will "oppose and vote against any and all efforts to increase taxes."

As far as can be reasonably determined, I am presently the only 2022 Cape Cod area political candidate who has signed the "Taxpayer Protection Pledge" thus far during the current election cycle.
My second reason for writing, but equally as important, is I believe all other Republican candidates in Massachusetts should also sign the "Taxpayer Protection Pledge" as well.

With with the current dire economic environment which includes soaring gasoline prices, rising food prices, and growing housing costs, residents of the Commonwealth do not need any further fiscal stress and strain such increased taxes.
Our citizens need some sort of relief, and letting them know that their elected officials will not impose new taxes upon them should be a welcome message indeed.
