Super Bowl LX Ticket Prices Are Wicked Expensive. Here's What To Know

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Super Bowl festivities have kicked off in the Bay Area this week, and it's not too late to join in on all the celebrity-packed events, including the Big Game itself.

The Seattle Seahawks will take on the New England Patriots in a rematch of the 2015 Super Bowl, which ended bitterly for the former when Russell Wilson threw an interception to then-rookie Malcolm Butler on the one-yard line.

This year's Super Bowl at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara could feature some big moments from two quarterbacks on the quest for their first Super Bowl ring, while Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny is set to perform at halftime.

With all the high stakes, celebrations and celebrities, it can be wicked expensive to take part. Here's how much it could cost to attend the NFL's biggest event of the season.

Ticket prices for the Super Bowl can vary based on several factors, including which teams make it and the host location. Tickets have started at around $8,000 in previous years — the most expensive to attend being Super Bowl LVI in 2022, when the Rams and Bengals played in Inglewood.

"The best time to buy Super Bowl tickets is typically 48 to 72 hours before kickoff," a SeatGeek representative told USA Today's Seth Jacobson. "Prices often drop by 25-40% from their post-conference championship peak."

Packages for what's expected to be a star-studded event at Levi's Stadium started just below $6,000 and go as high as up to $27,500 per ticket for VIP. A package gives access to a Super Bowl ticket and some pregame hospitality events.

Resale tickets, meanwhile, on sites such as Ticketmaster or StubHub started at around $6,500, but have since fallen. Two $26,000 tickets have dropped more than $5,000. The most affordable ticket on StubHub is currently going for $4,962.
