Tonight: Hyannis Harbor Arts Center Dance Party and Open Mic

Tonight at the Hyannis Harbor Arts Center @ Guyer Barn to kick off the summer music series with a dance party and open mic with featured musician Mwalim Peters

The is pleased to announce the kick-off the their new music series on Sunday, April 15th at 7pm.  An open mic for any type of performance art will be held, followed by the jazz/soul/funk grooves of Mwalim Peters, member of the Wampanoag tribe in Mashpee.  The event is free ($5 suggested donation) and handicap accessible.  This is an indoor/outdoor event, as the barn doors will be open, weather permitting.

Mwalim, a storyteller, poet and soul-funk-jazz singer, musician and composer is a 2010 New England Urban Music Awards Winner and multiple NAMMY (Native American Music Awards) top nominee, will be performing his blend of various genres, including songs from his upcoming Album, "DEEP Soul Chants & Hollers" (Liberation Music- MGM) set for release in June with digital downloads available in May.
