Veteran Officer Charged with Second OUI Ordered to Court

A veteran Barnstable Police officer charged with his second driving under the influence offense was ordered to appear in court on Sept. 12 in Burlington, according to a report by the Cape Cod Times.

Scott W. Kynoch, 48, of Mashpee was in possession of about 20 non-prescribed Adderall pills when stopped on July 13 and the test results of his blood alcohol showed .12 as well as oxycodone and amphetamines, the report said. 

Kynoch is assigned to desk duty and an internal investigation is ongoing, Barnstable Police Chief Paul MacDonald told the Times.
