'Violent' Hyannis Cocaine Suspect On The Run
Cape Cod police said Rashad Copper, of Hyannis, failed to appear at his arraignment on cocaine distribution charges.

BARNSTABLE, MA — Cape Cod police are searching for a Hyannis man who failed to show up for his arraignment last week on cocaine distribution charges. Rashad Copper, 34, has a "violent" criminal record that includes charges related to murder, police said. Anyone with information is asked to contact Yarmouth police at 508-775-0445.
Earlier this month, Barnstable and Yarmouth police arrested Copper and two others during a drug raid in Hyannis at a Baxter Road residence. (Sign up for free daily newsletters and breaking news alerts from Massachusetts Patch sites.)
Police said they seized about 14 grams of cocaine, nearly $4,000 in cash, a video surveillance system, cell phones and digital scales at the residence. Copper was charged with cocaine distribution (subsequent offense), distributing drugs near a school/park and conspiracy. He is 5 feet 10 inches and 145 pounds and has a tattoo on his right forearm, according to police.
