Curt Schilling Tweets Photo of Shirt Calling for Hanging of Journalists

"Rope. Tree. Journalist. Some assembly required."

With Election Day fast approaching, Curt Schilling has been flushing his marbles by the dozens. And in a last-ditch effort to outdo himself, the one-time Red Sox great turned it up to 11 on Election Eve.

Schilling tweeted a picture Monday of a man at a Trump rally wearing a shirt that reads, "Rope. Tree. Journalist. Some assembly required." Accompanying the snapshot was the always-welcome Schilling editorial, "Ok, so much awesome here..."

Schilling responded to critics of the post suggesting "shut the hell up" and/or "grow a pair."

It's hard to believe this guy calling the hanging of journalists "awesome" is the same one whose heroics solidified him a top spot in Red Sox lore just over a decade ago.

But the former hurler seems hellbent on running his legacy into the ground, through the Earth's core and back out the other side, particularly during this election cycle.

And regardless of where you fall on the political spectrum, we're not crazy about the suggestion of killing journalists. Even on a T-shirt.
