The iRobot Braava 380t from iRobot Corporation, a Bedford company, was selected as a Finalist for the Floor Care & Cleaning Appliances category in the prestigious 2014 Housewares Design Awards. This means that it is in the running for the “Best of the Best” Awards that will be given to the best housewares products of the year at the Gold, Silver and Bronze levels.
The Housewares Design Awards is the industry’s premier independent awards competition. Winners will be announced at the Housewares Design Awards presentation ceremony and luncheon on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at the New York Marriott Marquis.
The iRobot Braava 380t Floor Mopping Robot systematically cleans hard surface floors using microfiber or disposable cleaning cloths. In sweep mode, Braava dry mops floors, moving in straight lines using dry cleaning cloths. In mop mode, Braava uses a back‐and‐forth mopping action and damp cleaning cloths with the aid of a cleaning system reservoir pad that dispenses liquid. A NorthStar Navigation System works like an indoor GPS that helps Braava keep track of where it has been and where it needs to go.
