Beaver Street Culvert Traffic Plan in Waltham
The culvert needs to be replaced, according to the city.

Because of the Beaver Street culvert’s poor condition, traffic on it is now limited to one way until the culvert is replaced, according to the city.
Until the culvert is replaced, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation said it will monitor the culvert’s condition on a weekly basis and report its findings to the city.
The traffic plan is as follows, according to Waltham Police:

Westbound Traffic from Warren Street
Vehicular traffic of all weight will be allowed to travel westbound over the Beaver Street culvert.

Eastbound Traffic from Waverly Oaks Road
All eastbound vehicular traffic will be detoured at Waverly Oaks Road to either Trapelo Road for access to Warren Street or to Linden Street for access to Main Street/Route 20. Access for emergency vehicles will not be affected.
The city has appropriated $150,000 for the new culvert’s design.
