Belmont 25 MPH Speed Limit: What Areas Are Exempt?
The town implemented its revised speed limit Oct. 1. Here are the streets that do not qualify.

BELMONT, MA – Belmont lowered the speed limit in highly populated neighborhoods from 30 mph to 25 mph Oct. 1. This past spring, the Belmont Town Meeting voted to lower the speed limit in "thickly settled" areas.
Over the past few months, all of the 30 mph signs have been replaced with 25 mph signs, police said. The Belmont Police Department on Tuesday shared a list of streets that do not qualify as "thickly settled" areas and are not subject to the new speed limit.
