Belmont Man Killed in Cambridge Shooting
Armando Hernandez, Jr. was one of two people shot on Mt. Auburn Street Tuesday night; the other victim was seriously injured.
BELMONT, MA - A 30-year-old Belmont man was gunned down Tuesday night on Mt. Auburn Street in Cambridge.
Armando Hernandez, Jr. has been identified as the person killed in the shooting, according to a statement from the Middlesex County District Attorney's office.
Police found Hernandez and one other man with gunshot wounds after responding to reports of shots fired near the 300 block of Mt. Auburn St. around 10 p.m. According to the district attorney's office, Hernandez was rushed to Mt. Auburn Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The other victim remains hospitalized at a Boston area hospital with serious injuries.
