Dear Library Patrons,

Don’t forget about the joint meeting between our Board of Library Trustees and the Select Board tonight, Monday, October 4th at 7:00pm. Many years of work have gone into multiple phases to study and design the future of library services in our great community of Belmont. Dozens of citizens on several committees, over a thousand in total attendance at forums, meetings, and town meeting presentations, and hundreds more who provided feedback and guidance through surveys and other calls for input.

Monday marks the beginning of the conversation with our Select Board to determine the correct timeline for the scheduling of a town wide vote on the plans to build a new Library.

The Select Board will begin their meeting at 7:00pm via Zoom, and the Library has been scheduled for 60 minutes, beginning at 7:15pm. We would be honored and grateful to have as many supporters as possible attend this important discussion, from the comfort of your homes, live via Zoom.

During a very challenging time we need to prove that our library needs a new home. The more people on the Zoom call, the more clear the importance of this project to the community.
