Belmont Savings Hosts Picture Pals Day with Lowell Spinners Mascot
Bank continues monthly program offering photo opportunities with mascots and kids characters in grocery store branches
Belmont Savings Bank is offering families the opportunity to take photos alongside mascots and recognizable holiday and movie characters at each grocery store branch during one Saturday per month. The next pal will be the Lowell Spinners mascot, Canaligator, who will appear on September 20th.
On each Picture Pal Day, mascots will appear for one hour starting at 11am inside the Waltham Star Market in-store branch located at 1070 Lexington Street. From 12:30am-1:30pm, they will be at the Cambridge Star Market in-store branch located at 699 Mount Auburn Street, before finally taking photos inside the Newton Star Market in-store branch from 2pm-3pm, which is at 33 Austin Street.
All of the picture events will take place at the same time and locations.

Parents can either take their own photos or request photos taken by the bank to be emailed or printed. Families may pick up printed photos in the branch the following week. Parents must complete a photo release form in order for their child’s photo to be taken.
In addition to the photos, each child who attends the event will receive a Picture Pals passport (pals-port). Kids can collect a stamp for their passport each month that they return for another photo. Collecting five stamps earns the Pals-book holder $10 to be deposited into the Belmont Savings Bank account of their choice. With 10 stamps, kids can earn $25 for their account of choice. The bank encourages parents to bring back the pals-port for each visit.
The free picture events began Saturday, August 16 with Patriots mascot Pat the Patriot.
