Community String Orchestra Starting!
Community String Orchestra for intermediate string musicians - placement auditions on Mon, Sept. 29 and Sat, Oct. 4 at Powers Music School.
Powers Music School is holding auditions for the Community String Orchestra, open to intermediate and advanced adult and high school string musicians.
Auditions will be held on Monday, Sept. 29th, between 7:00-9:00, and Saturday, Oct. 4th, time TBD.

All auditions are by appointment. Audition candidates should prepare two (2–4 minute) contrasting unaccompanied solo or orchestral excerpt(s) that best demonstrate their musicianship. Candidates interested in principal positions should include the first movement of a concerto from the standard repertoire. There will also be a brief sight-reading exercise.
