Commuter Rail Train With 800 Passengers Derails
An inbound train came off the tracks near Waverley Station Tuesday morning.

BELMONT, MA – A Commuter Rail train derailed in Belmont Tuesday morning, causing delays on the Fitchburg line. The inbound 404 train came off the tracks after stopping at Waverley Station, according to reports.
About 800 people were aboard the train, Keolis told reporters. There were no injuries.
The MBTA said passengers were transferred onto an 8:25 a.m. train, which left about two hours after the derailment. Trains on the Fitchburg line are about 10-20 minutes behind schedule.

Fitchburg Line Train 408 (7:10 am from Wachusett) is stopped near Waltham and is currently 10-20 minutes behind schedule due to a disabled train ahead. Updates to follow.
