Cash WinFall is a minor game in the state's lottery system where players had to match six numbers with randomly drawn numbers.
But when the game's jackpot raised to $2 million, the prize money was redistributed among ticket holders with fewer matching numbers.

It didn't take long for statistically-savvy betters to calculate that if they bought more than $100,000 in tickets, they were virtually guaranteed to win big. Players would virtually take over lottery vendors – include reportedly Belmont's White Hen Pantry store on Brighton Street – placing more than $200,000 in bets at a time.
In fact, an elderly couple from Michigan has won $1 million by purchasing $600,000 in tickets and a MIT researcher also cashed in big time. And it's all legal.
