'Take Your Last Breath:' Woman Tried To Kill Dementia Patient: DA
A Belmont woman accused of smothering the victim's face with a pillow was ordered held without bail on an attempted murder charge.

CAMBRIDGE, MA — A Belmont woman accused of trying to suffocate a dementia patient at the hospital was held without bail Wednesday and must undergo a mental health evaluation. Tania Boghossian, 53, was arraigned on an attempted murder charge Monday in Cambridge District Court.
Prosecutors said Boghossian had been staying with the victim, a man in his 80s, in his hospital room since his admittance several days prior. On Fri., Oct. 12, a sitter watching the victim heard the Boghossian tell the victim behind a curtain to "take your last breath." When the sitter drew the curtain, Boghossian was holding the pillow over the victim's face, the Middlesex DA's office said.
The DA's office told Cambridge Police about a week later, and a warrant was issued following an investigation.
