Beverly Woman Pleads Not Guilty To Road Rage Fight Charges
The Beverly woman was charged with two misdemeanors following the March 29 fight.
BEVERLY, MA — The second woman charged following a fight on Route 128 in Danvers that was captured on video last month pleaded not guilty during her arraignment Wednesday. Earlier this month, a magistrate had found enough probable cause for the case against Susan Lavoie, 64, of Beverly, to move forward. Lavoie was released on personal recognizance after pleading not guilty to assault and battery and disorderly conduct and ordered to have no contact with the other woman involved in the incident.
On April 11, Catherine A. Bergen, 33, of Gloucester, appeared in Salem District Court a week before her scheduled arraignment and entered a not guilty plea. She has been charged with assault and battery on a person over 60 causing injury, driving recklessly to endanger, assault, disorderly conduct, and stopping/parking on a state highway.
