If you answered “yes” to one or more of those questions, consider attending the MAY CELEBRATION WORKSHOP, Saturday, May 16, 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM at MAGMA, 11 Pleasant St., Gloucester, MA.
This FREE* workshop will introduce May songs and dances to all who would like to learn these traditions and perhaps help teach others at a public event later in May.
"To Welcome in the May-O!", a Gloucester, MA-based May Celebration, was held from 2014-2019.
Now, after an absence of six years, excitement is brewing to revive this joyful tradition. Preliminary plans are to hold this event on Saturday, May 30. The location and time are still being sorted out.
Though the workshop is intended as preparation for the May 30 event, it is not necessary to attend both.
