Review Continues for New Dunham Road Office Building

The Planning Board continues to review plans for a new office building on the property at 50 Dunham Road.

The Planning Board on Tuesday night will continue its review of a new building planned to go up next to an existing office building that has once was the headquarters for Parker Brothers.

Cummings Properties bought the 54-acre property and existing office building at 50 Dunham Road for $2.3 million in 2011. Earlier this year proposed building a new, five story building on an area that has been used for parking, the Salem News reported in May.

The plans also call for the construction of a five-acre parking garage.

The plans first went before the Planning Board last month and the board is slated to continue its site plan review on Tuesday night. A public hearing on the plans is scheduled to resume at 8 p.m. during the board’s meeting in the City Council chambers at City Hall.

The new building would be lease space for office and research, Cummings Properties President and CEO Dennis Clarke told the News. The new building is planned to go where an existing parking lot is located for the building that is on the site, which is adjacent to Norwood’s Pond.
