Boston police and the Coast Guard mounted a search in Dorchester Bay for the not missing person Friday morning.

DORCHESTER, MA — A report of a person missing in the water near the Morrissey Boulevard Bridge in Dorchester turned out to be false, according to a Boston fire chief.
Boston Fire Acting Deputy Chief Erik Pettaway said in a news conference Friday that the person thought to be in the water actually wasn't — he was at work.
"The BFD divers have been deployed to assist with the search. After searching it has determined the person was not in the water," the department tweeted just after 7:30 a.m.
