Up To 20 Displaced After Fire In Allston Apartment Building

The two-alarm fire started on a lower floor of the 4-story building Tuesday night.

ALLSTON, MA — A two-alarm fire damaged an Allston apartment building Tuesday night, displacing about 20 people living there, according to the Boston Fire Department.

The fire began in the basement of the four-story building along Glenville Avenue near 8 p.m. Tuesday. The fire spread to the first floor of the building before firefighters were able to get the blaze under control by around 8:45 p.m.

No one was injured in the fire, and the building owner provided residents with emergency shelter, the fire department reported.
