Berklee Let 11 Staffers Go In 13 Years In Sexual Misconduct Cases

The acknowledgment by the school's president comes after a Globe investigation uncovered a disturbing trend.

BOSTON, MA — Berklee College of Music has terminated 11 faculty members over the past 13 years for sexual harassment or misbehavior, the school's president told an auditorium full of students who marched down Boylston Street in protest of the issue. The Boston Globe reported that hundreds of students, many holding "zero tolerance" signs, marched Monday morning.

President Roget Brown said the school fire those teachers and called such behavior "not an insignificant issue."

Brown spoke after an investigation by the Globe story uncovered Berklee staffers being quietly let go for sexual harassment and misconduct.
