Bomb Threat Targets JetBlue Flight From Boston To FL: Authorities
Officials received a phone call from an unidentified person claiming there was a bomb on the plane, law enforcement said.
VERO BEACH, FL — A bomb threat targeting a JetBlue flight from Boston to Florida was determined Saturday to be unfounded, according to authorities.
Massachusetts State Police were notified Saturday morning by Massport officials that the port agency had received a phone call from an unidentified person claiming there was a bomb on the plane bound for Vero Beach, law enforcement said.
The flight, JetBlue flight 1231, taxied to a remote area after landing in Florida “as a result of a possible security threat,” according to a statement from JetBlue Corporate Communications.

Troopers assigned to Boston Logan International Airport worked with anti-terrorism and intelligence authorities as well as officials in Florida to confirm the threat was not credible, according to Massachusetts State Police.
“Law enforcement met the flight and cleared the aircraft,” JetBlue said in the statement. “The safety of our customers and crewmembers is JetBlue’s first priority.”
