Boston ADL Office Receives Telephoned Bomb Threat

BOSTON, MA – The Anti-Defamation League's office in Boston received a telephoned bomb threat Tuesday, according to CEO Jonathan Greenblatt. In a statement, Greenblatt said offices in New York, Atlanta and Washington, D.C. received called-in threats as well.

He called the threats "not normal."

"For ADL offices in Atlanta, Boston, New York and Washington D.C. received telephoned bomb threats today. This is not 'normal.' We will not be deterred, or intimidated. These threats were in addition to at least four JCCs and one day school in Oregon, Wisconsin, New York, Florida and Maryland. This adds to the 121 threats received since January. It is time for action, and we call on the Administration and Congress to take concrete steps to catch those threatening the Jewish community."

Boston police said a called-in bomb threat was reported at the Court Street address of the Boston ADL office at 9:32 a.m. on Tuesday.

In a tweet posted just before noon, ADL New England said the office had been given the all-clear by police.
