BOSTON, MA — The Boston Celtics won the NBA championship Monday, beating the Dallas Mavericks in game five of the Finals at TD Garden.

This past season was nothing short of dramatic for the Celtics, but all was worth it in the end as they earned this title on the 16th anniversary of when they last took home the Larry O'Brien Trophy.

Star player Jayson Tatum had an impressive 31 points, 11 assists and 8 rebounds, as he lead the team to a 106-88 win over Dallas in game five.
