Barricaded Suspect Died Of Gunshot Wound, Fire
The suspect was barricaded in a house that erupted into flames.

CHELSEA, MA – The man who exchanged gunfire with police late Monday night in a Warren Street home died of a gunshot and the fire that surrounded the house he was barricaded in, authorities said Tuesday. Police did not say if the gunshot wound was self-inflicted or from police.
Kelly Pastrana, 38, fired at police responding to a domestic violence call. His wife and her 10-year-old daughter had escaped the house, police said.
A Chelsea Police officer suffered a minor hand injury.

Police said the man is believed to have gone into the garage and started a fire, which spread to the house. Three alarms were called.
State Police, assisting Chelsea, Boston, and other police departments, said it was a "superb team effort" to keep any innocent bystanders from being hurt.
