"2017 No-Gi World Champion! I don’t think I deserve this and all I keep thinking about is how incredibly grateful I am for my entire team at Brazilian Top Team Boston. You can’t do jiu jitsu alone and I feel like this gold medal is more the team’s than it is mine. Thank you for every single drill session and every roll preparing for this. You guys gave me feedback, details and you pushed me past my limits. Thank you so much Professor Daniel Mirel Gazoni, I believe in and love jiu jitsu because of you. Thank you Jose Hermoza and Jose Salazar. Lis Marques shoulder pressure got me out of some sticky situations! My brothers Pat Mora and Juna, and my love Carlos for believing in me. EVERYONE at BTT helped me and I am most thankful!" - Andrea Rodriguez

Jose Hermoza earned a bronze medal at the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation Worlds in the No-Gi black belt master light feather division. "This is my first big tournament as a black belt in the IBJJF circuit. Tough battles to get to the podium against black belts that I've been watching since I was a purple belt. Thank you to my professor/Sensei Daniel Gazoni, and all my teammates from Brazilian Top Team Boston for all their help during my training, I can't ask for a better team! Special thanks to Phalanx Athletics for their support, and to all my family in Peru that are always supporting me." - Jose Hermoza
