Jose Hermoza, Andrea Rodriguez and Júlia Balmante competed at the World Jiu-Jitsu IBJJF No-Gi Championship on December 16th & 17th, 2017 at the Anaheim Convention Center at 800 W Katella Ave. Anaheim, CA. 92802

Andrea Rodriguez and Júlia Balmante are two new International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation No-Gi World Champions! Andrea won 3 matches (one with an evil wrist lock). Julia won all her matches by submission. "I want to let you all know that these two girls barely train No-Gi (They hate it because they can't play their lovely spider guard). They trained without the gi for the last 3 weeks." - Jose Hermoza

Júlia Balmante is a two time, IBJJF NoGi World Champion and she also placed 3rd in the Absolute division. "I am very happy, but not satisfied. Thanks to everyone who was a part of helping my dream come true." -Júlia Balmante

Jose Hermoza earned a bronze medal at the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation Worlds in the No-Gi black belt master light feather division. "This is my first big tournament as a black belt in the IBJJF circuit. Tough battles to get to the podium against black belts that I've been watching since I was a purple belt. Thank you to my professor/Sensei Daniel Gazoni, and all my teammates from Brazilian Top Team Boston for all their help during my training, I can't ask for a better team!
