Dorchester Man Arrested On Human Trafficking Charges
A warranted search of Rhamell Hay's Dorchester home found an illegal gun with ammunition, and an unspecified amount of drugs, police say.

DORCHESTER, MA — Boston police have arrested a man on multiple charges in Dorchester Monday afternoon as part of an ongoing multi-jurisdictional investigation.
Rhamell Hay, 30, of Dorchester, is facing charges of human trafficking, assault by means of a dangerous weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm, and possession of Class B and D drugs.
Police were able to obtain a warrant out of Dorchester Court, allowing them to search Hay's home which lead them to the discovery of a loaded .40 caliber Smith & Wesson handgun, multiple rounds of ammunition, and unspecified quantities of Class B and D drugs, police said.

Police said they were working with the BPD Human Trafficking Unit, Massachusetts State Police High-Risk Victims Unit, FBI Human Trafficking Task Force, Malden Police Department, and Brookline Police Department in order to make the arrest.
Hay will be arraigned in Dorchester District Court at a later date.
